Medicine Song Community Breathwork
A Safe & Sacred Altered States Experience using breath, evocative music and guided meditation
Spring/Summer Schedule 2016
Please Note: We now have two events a month at two locations about every other week for those interested in an ongoing practice. More information is provided below.
Vali Soul Sanctuary (Formerly Adi Shakti Studio)
Thursday evenings: 1/14, 2/11, 3/10, 4/14, 5/12
Tuesday evenings: 1/26, 2/23, 3/29, 4/26, 5/24
We use Live Music, intentionally created evocative music sets and a transpersonally aligned breathwork practice to enter an inner world of the imagination and somatic experience, leading to deep transformation, physical, emotional and spiritual healing, and encounters with the numinous and divine. This evocative program is designed to give participants a firsthand experience of Mindful Journeywork in a safe and sacred way without the use of psychoactive substances.
Learn how to enter deep transpersonal spaces using set, setting and mindfulness skills as adjuncts and alternatives to psychedelic medicine and cannabis use.
Facilitated by Daniel McQueen, MA, Executive Director of Medicinal Mindfulness and Juan Wulff, Breathwork Facilitator.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info and to reserve a space.
The program starts at 6:30 pm. Recommended arrival time of 6:15 pm. We will begin with a brief group conversation and instructions on the breathwork practice. We'll then take a break before starting the session. The experience will last about an hour to an hour and half and we'll have plenty of integration time afterwards. The program is set to end around 9:30 pm.
What to bring
You'll want to bring comfortable clothes in layers, a yoga mat or cushioned mat if you have one, a blanket, pillow for your head, and possibly one for under your knees, and something to cover your eyes with. We'll have quite a few extras but not enough for a full group so come prepared.

Please note: We do not encourage any illegal activities or the use or abuse of cannabis or any other medicine. Nor do we believe that cannabis or other medicine exploration, even within the confines of applicable laws, is appropriate or beneficial for everyone. We are conditional advocates for intentional, sacred and non-habitual cannabis use for those individuals who have chosen to use cannabis already on their own. A substantial amount of skill development, the right mind set, and an intentional setting are required to minimize the risks involved in the exploration of powerful medicines. Our work is, at its foundation, a Harm Reduction program.
