Medicine Song Music Group

Music in traditional entheogenic settings has been used since the beginning of humanity to induce altered states, and since the beginning of the consciousness movement, both live and recorded music sets have been instrumental in facilitating and evoking the right set and setting.  In a very real sense, music IS medicine.

Our music sets are much more than a playlist of meditation songs.  These sets are specifically designed for our Medicine Song Community Breathwork and Conscious Cannabis experiences to facilitate healing, transformation, safety, and awakening.  The songs are digitally remastered and blended together to create a deeply evocative inner journey.  We have also created intentional music sets with unique themes and we blend multiple genres to keep all of our participants interested.  We use meditation and mantra music (Eastern and New Age influences), Indigenous (flutes, drums and didges), classical, orchestral and instrumental (cellos are amazing) as well as contemporary and alternative recordings, nature sounds (whales are my personal favorite), vibrational frequency and sound harmonics that promote certain brain states, movie soundtracks (excellent musical peaks) and random audio clips of cultural significance.

Like any artistic endeavor, something unexpected always happens, or an underlying theme emerges that we had no idea was there.

Our Medicine Song Community Breathwork program has attracted a lot of musicians who are interested in bringing live music to these and other events.  In one of our sessions, we did a live and very simple hand drumming set and it was one of the most evocative (and simplest) sessions we have ever had.  We've felt the potential of live music and are ready to experiment.

Preparing the music sets for our events and setting up our speaker system is one of the most time consuming aspects of our work.  We are looking for musicians and other volunteers to assist us in this important and creative endeavor.  The Medicine Song Music Group is one of our newest programs and will need a lot of support to make live music at our events happen.  If you love mixing music sets for conscious journeywork, or want to learn how to while helping out, this is your circle.  If you want to play with other artist and musicians to co-create beautiful inner landscapes of magic and transformation, this is your circle.

Visit our Recording page for a few samples of music sets and guided meditations we made.

Please note: We do not encourage any illegal activities or the use or abuse of cannabis or any other medicine. Nor do we believe that cannabis or other medicine exploration, even within the confines of applicable laws, is appropriate or beneficial for everyone. We are conditional advocates for intentional, sacred and non-habitual cannabis use for those individuals who have chosen to use cannabis already on their own.  A substantial amount of skill development, the right mind set, and an intentional setting are required to minimize the risks involved in the exploration of powerful medicines.  Our work is, at its foundation, a Harm Reduction program.
